This was the main reason Ean hadn't tried summoning any large creatures in the past. Unafraid of the fact that he couldn't control anything he called forth, Ean was mostly scared that summoning anything that required any real power would probably tear him apart. Each time he called something from the Abyss, which most times was Zin, he felt as if he had run around the valley three or four times. Zin had said that he would slowly be able to handle more complicated summoning the more magic he used, but so far Ean hadn't noticed any lessening of the pain and exhaustion it caused.
Keeping his attention focused on the gateway, Ean couldn't h
After being caught up with work, family, heat waves, and lethargic energies I have really buckled down and have gotten up to my 7th chapter (technically the sixth since I'm going to break up my first chapter, put pieces of it in later chapters, and start the book with my original 2nd chapter.) Things are going well, the creative spirits are all around me, and I have an artist working on the cover of my book! (check the link in my profile to see some of his amazing work). This only adds to my motivation to get the characters and world I've created in my mind down on paper.
For the zero followers I have at the moment I'll upload another part
I'm about three and a half chapters down now, in the rough draft stages of course. Its been difficult getting through this forth chapter as it involves finally getting the main character out of his village and into the world. Also not having a lot of free time at the moment has made actually sitting down and writting a difficult process. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to pick up the pace.
Also, from listening to other people and authors, I've decided to post bits and pieces on here. If you find the tidbits interesting please let me know. Again, remember they are only in the rough draft phase!
I don't really have a lot of time to write most days, but when I do time seems to fly by and I only seem to get a paragraph or two done before I have to stop. Its kind of frustrating sometimes, but I am hoping that as soon as the summer roles around I'll have moe time to focus on the book. We'll have to see.
Oh, I'm also tenitively looking to commission the cover of the book, so if someone randomly stops by this page and is interested, let me know!
