Pawed Dragon Hand Anatomy Study by RussellTuller Pawed Dragon Hand Anatomy Study by RussellTuller
Another of the Dragon Themed commissions for :iconstormnobleheart:. Thank you so much for your generosity! Exploring your character and his various forms was quite the adventure!

Again, this particular character design called for a mix of canine, feline, and dragon/reptilian anatomical aspects.

This piece in particular was focused on the characters hands which feature semi-retractable claws.

Dragons both feral and Anthro are creatures I rarely get commissioned for, so this was a fun and interesting endeavor. :)

Thanks again :iconstormnobleheart:! And I hope The rest of you can find this study interesting and useful as well. ^_^

You can find more of my anatomical studies of various Anthropomorphic species here if interested: russelltuller.deviantart.com/g…

Do they have surface gripping abilities like a gecko? It seems that the design has a, lot of gecko influence.

Nice, sort of reminds me of the front feet of an aboreal monitor lizard and/or an iguana.
