JUST KIDDING might come back
Hey guys! I bet I'm surprising you! maybe. Just leaving a note here to say that I might actually come back to this account.
What happened was some salty 12 year old reported almost all of my paintings because they had "too much nudity". Now my @sarajacksonjihad account has hella strikes and may get shut down any second. I'm still deciding though. If I were to come back, I would change my username and shut the other account down. But dont worry, none of my old artwork will be going away. I've found it to be a charming archive of my younger self. If anyone still follows this account, please let me know. Still unsure if I should sw...

You should if you want to. I haven't posted anything myself in a few months here, but I plan to update sometime soon enough.
I haven't seen a social art website that hasn't gotten flack. I think it's because they're open to anyone, so the quality and content is going to vary drastically, and so is what's popular. I used to be kind of down on dA for a while since a lot of other art professionals I was around were too, but then I realized most of it was coming from a weird elitism usually caused by a combination of the fact the site is open to anyone with a pencil and scanner or camera, and from some ego bruising because their shit wasn't getting popular when mediocre stuff was. People who have an active and engaged following don't usually bash.
So I was like yeah, fuck that.
There's a lot of good stuff on this site, like really good, and some fun people I've enjoyed interacting with. I'm thankfully no longer in a place where I'm too self-conscious enjoy what's good about it and instead just let it be what it is.
I'm more active on tumblr and twitter at the moment, but I still try to get back here to check stuff out, more often than not it's because I forget rather than trying to avoid.
And with starting a new account could be a good or bad idea depending on what matters more to you.
The pro of it would be if you have a new body of work you can set it down there and have the ease of going wherever you want with it.
lol I actually did that after I graduated high school from this account
, So it is also kind of cool having a time capsule of you at a certain age.
The con is getting the following again, especially since the way the site has been changing it's much harder to get exposure than it was just a few years ago.
