Serpamia Flare Strip 486

Much to the disappointment of some readers, this fight did not culminate in the loss of a pompadour. (Though it was really for the best, considering how many people were also making phallic jokes :'D)

I'm not sure if I'm going about this tournament in the way I would really have preferred to, if I wasn't so strapped for time and space. Ideally, I would have gone about it in a Dragonball-esque manner and shown all the contestants, done a lot of close-ups on the crowds and given the announcer more than just a voice. But the narrative focus of this chapter is split between a LOT of parties at this point, so if I want to finish this chapter before I turn forty, I think I need to prioritise. :'D Perhaps in the future, I'll be able to look back and reconsider how I might have done it. For now, I'm trying things out - I just hope it works!
