Megan's Tail: Chapter 30
Megan's Tail Chapter 30: Five Years Later The very next morning, we reported the incident to the police. We told them how Marianna broke into our house in the middle of the night and kidnapped Madison. We left out the finer details about how she was a mermaid running a doomsday cult, and how we retrieved our baby using my wife’s new telekinesis powers. The police gave us the usual spiel about how they would get to work investigating the matter. Five years have passed since then. We still haven’t heard anything from the police. Fortunately, we haven’t heard anything from Marianna either. That was the last night we saw her or her goons. We figured one baby wasn’t worth their hassle, especially since Megan could fight them off with telekinesis. Granted, Marianna could manipulate water, and her goons most likely had other special powers; but again, it probably wasn’t worth the hassle for one baby. They must have moved on to prey upon another poor unfortunate soul to recruit

Megan's Tail: Chapter 29
Megan's Tail Chapter 29: Kidnapped! From down the hall, we heard the faint scurrying of footsteps upon wooden floor coming from inside Madison’s nursery. Had the footsteps originated from any other place in the house, Megan and I would have locked ourselves in our bedroom to phone the police. But these footsteps came from the bedroom of our infant daughter. Nothing would prevent a self-respecting father like myself from rushing to her room and protection, not even if the intruders were armed with knives and guns. In one swift motion, I leapt out of bed, grabbed the nearest yet easiest heavy object to wield, and sprinted out of the bedroom and down the hall. I reached the door frame to Madison’s bedroom and gasped at what I saw. A masked figure leapt out of the bedroom window, wide open with the ocean breeze rushing and whistling in. My eyes darted to Madison’s crib. My heart sank as I saw it lay barren. I rushed over to get a closer look. There was nothing in it. No baby. No

Megan's Tail: Chapter 28
Megan's Tail Chapter 28: Baby’s First Swim Nearly a week had passed when we decided to take Madison for her first swim. She had grown slightly bigger since then, and whatever was left of her umbilical cord had since vanished and healed. After we finished our work and ate our dinner, Megan and I dressed into our bathing suits, applied sunscreen, and took Madison to the water. We did not dress her in a bathing suit. She obviously wouldn’t need one. She would simply slip out of it anyway once her tail formed. We merely removed her diaper. There was no one around for miles to see our little girl go skinny dipping anyway. We carried her down to where the waves lapped onto the shore before quickly receding. We both sat upon the wet sand where the water reached the furthest. Megan positioned Madison in-between her legs. No sooner had she set our baby down when the waves came rolling in to greet her. Madison giggled as the seawater passed over her legs and the seafoam kissed her

Description
I went for a straight-forward layout with this page; only slightly tilted the lines a bit so it would match the skewed angles I've been going for with the panels for this whole sequence.
I used a reference for Kylie's pose in the second panel from Chaika; I really like the way some of the action is done in Chaika, except this is where colour and black/white have a big difference. You can mostly get away with 'disappearing limbs' during action scenes for black/white drawings but when you do a full-colour thing, 'disappearing limbs' are really not possible. (I mean to some degree they are, but not to the same extent.) So the original reference, you can't see the guy's right arm at all (or anything waist down proper actually). Still, to get the same feel of action I tried to blur out Kylie's right arm in that panel as much as I could, and I think? THINK? it works. We'll see how I can incorporate this going on. >_>
