This was an interesting sequence of events for me because it unfolded in so many different ways with each rewrite of the script. What eventually happened was that I sat down and thought carefully about what Ren would actually do in this situation instead of what would be convenient for me (lol) plot-wise, and this is what ended up happening: diplomacy. Originally he just antagonised everyone like a jerk and fireworks exploded but this rendition, I think, is most true to his character.

And it really says something about the fact that even with all the diplomacy in the world, fireworks are set to explode anyway. XD;
