Serpamia Flare Strip 177

This was one of those strips that seemed like it would be pretty simple, but ended up needing a gajillion layers to get right. I'm a little iffy with Madou's teleportation effect, but I feel like I could tweak that endlessly so for the sake of keeping to schedule and moving on so this darn chapter can progress to its culmination in a month or so, I'm just leaving it as is.

I think I might show this in the break I take after this chapter ends, but quite often Rince looks like a totally yandere bastard until I give him some eyeshine. It's because he has this bright red eyes, and he's prone to furrowing his brows and smiling at the same time. Rince in the third panel here looks terrifying without the shine... *whimper* darn it, Rince!
