FAQ : What is O Ka-Fée ?
O Ka-Fée is the term concerning all my paintings done with coffee. It concerns the way of painting and of obtaining textures with coffee. It's about projections of coffee, which once in stains on the sheet, undergo injections of pigments. (Powder, colorex, watercolor.)
Textures realized by coffee by drying (more or less sweetened) are unique, they are more interesting than those realized with water.
The coffee is a rather complex medium has to master, it's necessary to know its reactions to be able to manipulate it with pigments, we learn it every day.
O Ka-Fée also concern my graphic style and the whole universe which gets free of it. It's for that the term is my own brand.
Please, respect my universe and work.

First off, I'm very happy to see my very first Mega Evolution in this wonderful fanart! You really did capture the essence of Charizard X, so applauds for you! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
I love his expression most of all and nice job with the coffee splatters! It really does add effect in the background! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>
Now for improvements:
This is the very first thing art critics will look for and that's where is/are the light source(s)? They're all random, but from what? There would be a light source from the flames, right? That way, there wouldn't be any shadows. In all seriousness, this is the VERY FIRST THING they'll want to look for; trust me on this one.
As for the red splatters, they take away some attention away from the blue and black colors, which are the main focus. I do notice the huge splatter on Charizard's right wing and there are tiny ones all around him. If you continued with the red splatters, there would be at least a few more bigger ones, no?
Also, I do notice that his left arm is missing in that cloud. It feels detached from his body.
Other than that, this is a splendid piece of fanart! X/Y was my very first Pokémon game and I chose Charizard X to be my mega for the entire game haha. I'm very pleased to see this artwork! Fantastic job and I can't wait to see what's next from you! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
This is beautiful ... I saw this and gasped out loud...
Love the idea and the mediums... Coffee...Never thought to use coffee..A good use of left over! It's great and with X and Y so close fans will be crazy over this! I love it myself and I hope to see more in the future, makes me think of all the crazy things you artists can come up with.I personally wouldn't say I could do anything like this...Let alone this beautiful. I love your work that I've seen so far! Can't wait for new pieces!! It'll be fun to see what you can do with the next pokemon games as well.
I absolutely love the ideas you have moving here. I haven't yet seen such a fiery, bold concept in watercolors, and I think you pulled it off quite well. The red spatters are really working to help pull off the impact of something so dangerous with such a soft techinque. The only thing I really don't love is the flames; they look great within themselves but the way they cross over the tail and neck are kind of putting me off-- I would have made them a little more translucent and also not bunched them up so much. I think spreading them out more would have added to the impact to make him look bigger and more deadly... not that he doesn't already >.<
All in all I love this piece, it's done well, but as with any piece of artwork ever, there's just a few elements that could be improved <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/> nice job
