Neiran Deathwyrms have a thick layer of fat to insulate them against the cold tundra. They are known to help lost travelers stay warm while pointing them in the right direction. They are also quite slow above ground due to their heavy body and small legs, so to move at a decent pace they do what's called "galumphing" where they flop along on their belly.
