I spent a couple of hours on this a few weeks ago, but unfortunately I probably won't ever have time to finish it and design out some of the other pages, features, etc., so I am uploading this now before I forget about it completely.
Inspired by Slate
, as well as the new Outlook site. I decided to make it after reading that Google was discontinuing Reader, which is a service I use daily and will greatly miss. I wanted to make it more like an email client, designed around the text content of articles.
I think the list pane would utilize an "infinite" scrolling feature, rather than pagination, as that seems to be much easier for navigating large data sets. I also thought about breaking the list pane into collapsible sections for each week. Many features would utilize modal windows (like adding a new subscription, renaming a subscription, creating folders, etc.), but the Settings page would facilitate access to everything that could be changed/customized.
