MACHINE GUN FACE (WAR MACHINE II) 12" x 16" ~ Acrylic on canvas
This is a character I plan to use in my latest large project, (TRANSMUTATIONISTS) I'm sure he will look considerable different by the time he gets in the big picture.
Transmutationists is a painting full of (allegorical) characters such as this. These players in my painting, (Painted story, if you will) are representative of the melding of man and machine. A merger or a unification of our inventions, our bodies and our minds.
Perhaps this idea is becoming cliche. However, I'm still very much interested in it.
In the large painting I am depicting different possibilities. Some are warlike, like this guy. Some are devoted to energy, some to information, some possibly to something more esoteric. I'm not done with the piece yet. It will show up here on DA eventually ... of course.
*sigh* You're so incredible. I love you. I can honestly say you are my favorite artist of all time. Well...you and Mark Ryden. Only because I love you both so much I can't bring myself to pick, but seriously...your artwork is just so incredible. Everything about it...and I found you by accident when I was about 10. My favorite piece was and is still "God". (if I remember the name correctly)
You seem to get better with each painting, no joke! BTW, saw a Connett in person for the first time in Fla last week. My wife was with me and she was as knocked out about it as I was. Would have loved to get a chance to meet you, but I guess Cali's a good stretch from Fla, yes yes.
Holy shit! that's so fuckin cool. I really like the whole thing, but what really caught my eyes was the Machine brain in the back of his head and the ominous glow of burning smoke clouds in the background. Well done with this Illustration. >Blake
