I have no idea what I'm doing...
Okay, I decided to stop playing Titan Fart III for five minutes and spend a few minutes trying to figure out this DAZ Studio stuff. To be fair, I've been having stability issues with Studio. Might be my cooling settings were set to low. The GTX1080tis I have put out a lot of heat and suck down a lot of power. But, I managed to get Studio to stay up long enough to render something.

This is a quick test render done at 2500 iterations and rendered at 1.5 times the resolution I'm posting at. I used minimal postwork. I tend to like things with a bit of soft focus with a slightly warmer color than is rendered.

Anyway, enough jabbering. What do you think? Comments please.

Thanks.

Nice I use a GTX1070FE btw my whole rig is water cooled after some attemps, I final can render without crashing that much.
But there are some conditions I have to meet.
1. Reboot system
2. do not start anything else then DAZ3D
3. Start render and go to bed

Why like that I have no clear evidence but it feels to me vram is not really cleared after playing games or anything that uses GFX acceleration.

The odd thing is that I can run Octane for hours and nothing happens.

This is IRay. I tried Octane, and while it is very powerful, it's a complete pain in the ass and I hate trying to get anything done in it. And yeah, it's expensive. But, better to recognize a bad investment and walk away than to throw more money and time into a hole in the ground. (No offense to Octane fans.)

Is it node-based, like Blender Cycles?

I've an older video card: a 980Ti G1, and it heats a lot, indeed. Reason why I've added a second 5.5" silent fan to push fresh air in the case.
The picture is really beautiful, even though IMO the white background is a little too strong, I would have used something darker between the girl and the white background, to benefit of the lighting environment.

You might have to do a very expensive fix for your heating problem. I have a friend who set up an external liquid cooling system for his processor and video cards. This makes a system run cool. It's a good render.

I had my system running "balanced", I moved it up to "performance" and it seems much more stable.
