Bead wings 2, birdlike by Rrkra Bead wings 2, birdlike by Rrkra
More horribly drawn walkthroughs from me.
Free to use, as usual.
Playing with length of ndebele will make different wing shapes.

But still, beads look more like scales, so small beaded feathers/fur look odd. Whatever, beads, shiny =D

aaahhhh so that's how its done... o.o *grabs this and other tutorials* I need to get back into bead work. I have tons of "standard" like.... kiddie-beads and it'd probably look downright stupid when I try with those colored pencil diameter beads. buuuuut practice's practice.
and what better way to practice than with big and then go smaller as I get used to it? :la:

Hehe, yeah, one of the possible ways=)
Big beads are fine for practice, as long as they aren't tennis balls. There is a bead dragon made with tennis balls somewhere on dA :XD:

I was wondering, how do you manage to tie off the peyote tube? I've always had the worst time trying to successfully tie mine off and have it look nice.

I don't exactly understand what you asked=(

How exactly do you hide the thread after you tie it off? Do you snip it close to the knot, or leave a bit of length and hide it in the tube itself? Your work looks seamless, and its got me in awe. =)

Please forgive my poor writing, It is early in the morning here and I'm having a hard time forming a coherent sentence.

Oh, i get it=)
After the knot i hide a few cm of thread by weaving it through nearby beads, then cut so it doesn't show and the knot won't undo itself.

Ok, thank you very much! It has been stumping me for years on how to hide the ends of my thread (though to be honest I mostly do loom-work when I bead at all).
