I really want to thank you Gejda for helping me with my lights and shadows, and showing me where to improve in my artwork. I really learned a lot and had fun.  

I'll confess, this was a mite hard for me, as I don't do dark and dreary scenes very well. I love pretty things, and that's what I enjoy making. Just look through my gallery if you want evidence. But though I tried, this was the road the art called for, so I had to follow. And once I did that, lo, my creation emerged.  
The concept changed during my work from being utterly alone, to being surrounded on all sides by evil with no way out. But even in the face of darkness with horrors on either side, we're never alone. We may not see it, but there is always a ray of hope, a silent guardian watching over us to stand against the night.
