The Asian Koel

Well I already opened a folder from a dusty disk and recently have been working a lot with birds so I can't not submit the one and only bird number one from Maldives; the Asian koel that belongs to the cuckoo family.

One of the rare photos where I managed to capture it almost two decades ago, clearly visible, as it mostly hid in the dense vegetation, away from various objects/slippers that were flying around it from the hands of irate tourists who wanted to sleep for a few extra minutes during their vacation. 😃

With its characteristic call, that it's very similar to an alarm clock, and it calls at all hours of the day and night. 😆😫🥰
