Background in traditional painting and drawing techniques; trained in 3DS Max, Zbrush and DAZ Studio.

Have done sculpting as well, and a fair amount of custom work on 1/6 scale action figures.

Currently freelance for illustration, 3D work, and sculpting.

Well, the seductive nature of 3d imagery has pretty much taken over my gallery space for the time being, at least. DAZ Studio has proven to be the tool for producing the kind of images I've been wanting to create for... ever, really. But it's not the end: I've just downloaded Blender, and am working with some old projects I started in 3ds Max back in '09 and never finished. I'm looking forward to seeing what Blender can do with them, and I'm excited about utilizing Blender's properties to make some truly original models. "Watch this space", as they say. :)

Which is why I haven't posted here in soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long.  The "work" spoken of these days is a series of sketches, more or less one a day.  I've gotten up to 106 or so, and to be honest, they've expanded into pieces that can take as long as a 3 days to finish, but still have a "sketch-like" quality to them.  It's been illuminating to remind myself of what I DON'T know, or had forgotten about drawing; and I've run into a few well worn assumptions that have been summarily thrown out.  The bottom line here (if there actually IS one) is that the experience has truly underscored the importance of drawing every day.  There's no oth
