It's interesting here that his hair is red and not black since in the comics Jason stated that he was forced by Batman to dye his hair to be more like Dick

Yeah. In E27, Jason never dyed his hair. I wanted all the Robins to look much different

Jason: Robin to Titans, answer me.
Roy: What's up, man.
Jason: Roy Harper. The former Green Arrow sidekick. So you still a Speedy?
Roy: Yeah. And with proud. Is more like you as a Robin after Dick.
Jason: Don't compares me with him, Roy. Or I'll break your face.
Roy: Your wish.

Was just going back through the Oracle Files because of the Vox on Harley Quinn's and realized something: there's no picture for an unmasked Jason at this age. Is that on purpose or just because he hasn't been funded yet??

He hasn't been funded as, generally speaking, we don't do civilian looks for past versions of characters as a rule...

But like every rule, there are exceptions (mostly due to sponsorship or fan demand), thus we have Acrobat Dick Grayson, Armored Batgirl Babs, Khuffash, Kal-El, Diana of Themyscira, Cadmus Patient Ace, and so on. Normally, we do one picture for each "identity" of a character: civilian identity, hero identity, past identities for sidekicks, and so forth.

Is it bad that I want to see the moment Batman found Jason strapped to the Bat signal, weaving through the distraught police officers to see his student chained lifelessly to it's frame as he approaches it, places a hand atop it while his head is bowed as he silently sheds tears as the crowd and Batgirl look on.
It would be very powerful in comic form.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say Joker rigged the poll. Sort of like that rumor where a guy rigged his phone to call the number that wanted Jason dead. Am I correct?

Very plausible. ;)

It's Joker, so yes it's extremely plausible

I presume you've seen the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood. If you hadn't, you absolutely should. if have, what are your opinions on the way they took 'A Death in the Family'?

I have seen it. I believe it was a good adaptation.

The best animated batman film I have seen ever in my film. Better than the Dark Knight returns.

LOVE the nods to BvS and the real-life poll :)

I am curious about the vox mail: Huntress being surprised that Batgirl is seeking her help on the grounds that Batgirl DOESN'T want Captain Boomerang killed, would indicate that she's killed people before...in which case I am rather surprised she has the acceptance here that she does. Or has she not killed? I remain confused on this point.

Huntress does not try to kill... but she has in the past. Her methods are brutal, but it's not really her brutality that puts her on edge with Batman, it's her recklessness. Batman justifies his own brutality in that he makes every effort not to cross that one line... but the way he sees is, Huntress has no line. Oracle believes in Helena though, so she has some relationship with the Bat-family, an uneasy one albeit.

I see. Well, that does clarify things rather nicely. Personally, I've always considered his issues with her completely justified, especially considering how the one time he trusted her to clear her name (without killing anyone) she betrayed his trust and murdered again. God forbid he not like or trust her after that. And yet somehow, Huntress fans always try to demonize Batman over how he (understandably) doesn't like her. Weird.

Well, a lot of Batman fans believe he should just kill the Joker, too.
I get what you're saying, though. :)
Spider-Bat700's avatar
Yes, but that has little to do with Huntress and her betraying his trust, and most of her victims aren't exactly Joker-level baddies either. I still think Batman is 100% justified in his dislike for Huntress, Black Canary and Huntress fanatic's demonizing of him be damned.

I am also very happy that you understand my stance. It's nice to have a sympathetic pair of ears. :)

Also, why connect Jason's death to such a large terrorist attack? And why was Riddler involved?
I do, however, like the reuse of the poll.

Connecting Jason's death to the League of Assassins lets me skip over a lot of complicated stories and just say that the League was not pleased with what the Joker did and decide to use Jason's corpse as a tool to enact their retribution on the Joker.
Riddler's involvement is just there because someone with technical savvy needed to set up an untraceable live web broadcast for Joker... and it sets Riddler up for later stories involving the League and Hush.

Hey Roysovitch, I've got an idea. In Jason's file, when you mentioned the stolen LuthorCorp prototype, what if we connect this to Arrow somehow? Remember in Season 1 finale of Arrow (spoilers!) when Merlyin destroyed the Glades by using a device that can simulate an earthquake? You think the League of Assassins used something simulur on the Gotham attack? Just a thought.
