A Smurfette For All Seasons
In a sequel to the episode, “Smurfette Unmade”, Poet decides to write a new pageant entitled “A Smurfette For All Seasons”. Appointing Bashful as the producer, he makes changes to the script so that it would be completely different from the original “A Smurf For All Seasons”. Poet is unsure whether or not the changes would be necessary for the pageant, so he decides not to criticize it. Brainy tries to tell Bashful that he refuses all changes made to the story, but all he gets is a tossing out to the village limits from the other Smurfs, to which he says to himself, “The others must’ve been working out”. Later during rehearsal, Scaredy is originally cast to be Smurfette’s Prince Smurfing, but because he has a case of stage fright, Bashful decides to take on the role of Prince Smurfing throughout the pageant (despite his constant mess-ups on his lines). At opening night, the Smurf orchestra are tuning up their instruments and Sassette is excited to see how
Today would have been the original day that the official Papercutz new English translations of Asterix would have come out. So, I decided to post my review of the first two comics: The Chieftain's Daughter and Asterix Omnibus Volume 1 (which collects books #1-3). Enjoy! Review below.
Asterix and Obelix is the story of two Gaul warriors (who are also the best of friends): Asterix (the gaul who is small but mighty with the wings on his helmet) and Obelix (who is the tall round gaul who is mostly seen carrying around menhirs). I can say that I have enjoyed the translations, and I have a lot of things to say about them (especially the stuff that I noticed while reading them).
For The Chieftain’s Daughter, I enjoyed the story overall. I like that the story deals with a strong female lead (Adrenalynn) and the idea of female empowerment, freedom and being a strong independent individual (in this case, a strong independent female). I like the fact that this story (or the author) is trying
Here’s the thing: Remember when I drew that drawing about the Nicktoon Town Welcome Committee that was based on a Nicktoon movie that was supposed to happen, but never did? Well, for a while now, I have been wanting to write a fanfic based off of this idea of a Nicktoon version of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit ''. Here’s the catch: I’m not a good writer.
So, if there’s someone out there in the Deviantart community who is friendly, is a good writer, someone who can incorporate my ideas into writing, is willing to work with me (We can work and send our ideas and work by DeviantArt’s email system), and someone who would be willing to work on this with me FOR FREE, that would be great.
And to go along with this, I can draw some stuff and interpretations of what has been written.
This would be a fun project that I would like to do.
Please let me know ASAP when we can get together to get started on this exciting side project that I have been wanting to work on and collaborate on for a while.
