I'm good as long as the person does it within their time and takes as long as they need to get it to where they'll be happy with posting the commission. Like some people might be busy with work, school, family, etc. so I feel as if I would be pointed at as the bad guy if I were to rush them. I would be hurt if I upset them in the middle of a family issue or a breakup.
Depends on the person. If you see a preview or get updates I am fine waiting over six months. If you have commissioned them before and they undercharge I am fine waiting however long. If I have commissioned them numerous times they undercharge and got a gift art I am fine if they disappear. If it is a deal that seems to good to be true like 250 points for 25 art pieces I see it as a risk reward thing and will wait without much expectancy of it ever coming. Going through a few of those for 6-9 months. The most expensive one posted they had emergency situation recently and did most of the commissions from the batch and are extremely high quality so I would rather wait and hope then risk upsetting them and get a refund.
I can totally understand that a commission can take a month or even a bit more, but when it's 2 months I get a bit impatient... I can still wait however, but if that end up to be 4-5 months I'll really wonder if they still remember my comm xwx
This is pretty much how I feel! I often forget about commissions I make (surprise to future me woo) but once around half a year-ish comes around I might drop a note or something just to check up on things, but I've been in rough patches where I didn't feel like drawing myself, so I honestly don't mind waiting longer if we can keep in touch o:
I try to compare it to how long it takes me to get commissions done. Usually I get ahead of my game and get them done in a week, sometimes things come up and it will take around a month. When things keep happening and that period is approaching 2 months, I start feeling really guilty and itchy to finish it so I don't keep them anymore ;v;
Ahah me too, I don't know what I buy xD I think as long as there is communication then that's fine, like you said sometimes we just feel we can't draw at all. Once I bought something from an artist and waited several months before sending a note... with no answer. I resent a note almost one year after the payment to ask for the drawing or at least a refund (which is what I got at the end).
I understand ahah I'm feeling really guilty when I take too much time too, this is extremely stressful for me,, that's pretty much the same for me, I can take 1-2 week to one month if I don't enjoy at all what I have to draw. I'm pretty lazy too- xD
