Not sure if I'm paralyzed, but have had halucinations from presumably not being fully awake.

Recently I woke up to a something pulling me off the bed via pulling the sheet under me, making me slide closer to the edge. I saw the edge of the bed getting closer and could hear the sheet being pulled, I wondered if I could do an experiment, so I stayed still to not jolt myself out of it. I uncurled my finger, feeling the edge of the bed at the tip of my finger. I waited to be pulled again. After it  looked like it had pulled me to the very edge, I uncurled my finger again to measure the change in distance. No change.

The one I had before it was at a hospital. I had a dream that a girl needed to share my cot, I had a grave feeling she was dead. I woke up to a hand on my shoulder and no one was there. I got up to speak to a nurse. He started to make very strange ghost sounds, which I commented on and he looked baffled.

The dream thing happened also when I was little, and that was the most vivid. I dreamed that I was being chased through a maze by monsters that looked kind of like wooly catepillars. I woke up to someone tapping on my shoulder and blowing in my ear. I said stop it, thinking it was my step dad, but when I looked up, he was asleep. I saw one of the creatures in my lap, staring at me. After a minute, it floated up into a milk crate and vanished.

Omf that second one sounds really creepy o-o

The last one seems kinda funny, but I'm not gonna lie I probably would have woken up crying if I had that dream as a kid xD

I've had some super weird vivid dreams and nightmares

Some have helped me like overcoming my fear of bees, and others have worsened me, such as I had a vivid dream of being shot in the chest at night in a power outage in my neighbor's house. It was so vivid, the pain was like nothing I've ever felt.. It wasn't just pain I felt, I felt an entire shock run through my body as the bullet impacted. This overwhelming feeling of knowing I was going to die. Time slowing to a crawl as like reality. I fell to the floor and everything went black. I remember hearing the impact of my fall. In the dream I "wake up" staring at my person in he hospital. I floated around like a ghost, but I could tell I was still alive, however I had a huge gaping black hole in my chest that nearly went all the way across

Im not sure if I woke up after that or went into another dream, but I can't remember anything else

Ever since that nightmare, I've been terrified of walking out in an unusual area or sitting in a car in a neighborhood I don't know well... especially at night. Vivid flashbacks of this nightmare occur and it will make me tense even thought the chances of me being in an actual threat of being shot is very low

On very rare occasions. When it happens, I become consciously aware of what's going on around me, but I can't open my eyes [except for once] and I'll attempt to move, but nothing will happen. I just calmly keep willing my muscles to move until they finally do - it usually takes a handful of seconds, but it feels like forever.

At least once or twice I've fully woken up but one part of my body will still be paralyzed. One time not too long ago, when I had gone to lay down because I had a serious migraine and I ended up dozing off, I woke up and wanted to reposition my head [as the spot that was hurting was right against the pillow and the pressure was bugging me] but I couldn't. So I reached up and actually lifted my head with my hands and repositioned it that way.

I haven't really experienced any of the hallucinations, that I'm aware of. Before it happens, though, I sometimes wake up thinking someone just called my name.

I have it a lot honestly but me being a heavy lucid dreamer they don't effect me as much. I just get the inability to move. On really bad nights I'll hear people talking to me. I don't think I've ever seen anything though.

However when I was younger I used to get it bad. very bad and almost every other night. < n > I think this is why I did everything I could to learn how to Lucid dream, to like help with my night terrors. I used to miss soooo much school.

for the most part now I get stress dreams. xD

omg sorry Im rambling about stupid me. XD

I have but it was rather mild, nothing big happened, no hallucinations or anything, I just couldn't move and it freaked me out a little. Well i did feel like there was something passing through me though, not sure if that's related to it or what.

On an airplane once (and a few other times elsewhere) FRICKING TERRIFYING. If I have it once, I usually have it multiple times in one night... Happens every few weeks or so.

There was one when all I could hear was my little sister screaming, and another where I had a full-fledged hallucination in witch a tall person with a mask stood over me and laughed. Creepy.

Holy crap O.O
that is flipping weird.

It's strange though... I know that sleep paralysis can be caused by lucid dreaming... I usually realize that I'm dreaming, but I'm never in control when I do... I always feel like I'm possessed and have no control over my actions, even if I try to break from it, it still controls me. I rarely have new dreams, and have almost every action and object I see in my "regular" dreams memorized, even if I recognize the dream... I still am not in control.

tmi :/

also, my mother does not believe in sleep paralysis. I wake up after an episode she asks me what's wrong. I say sleep paralysis. She thinks I'm just paranoid.

I have them a few times a month and usually try to snap myself out of it by blinking
But one time it happened around last summer i was really tired and didn't know it was happening so first thing tat happened is I hear like a heavy drum being banged, its ready stead and really loud, sand its the only thing I'm hearing so I'm like oh my gosh wtf and try moving and when I can't move and I'm really freaking out and since this is happening while I'm in my bed I'm really freaking out, it gets worse as it feels like I'm being choked from behind by a really strong hand wearing a glove.  It then feels like I was being thrown off my bed and i try screaming but my throat is really dry and it feels like I've stopped breathing.  It was really scary and I'm not sure what would have happened if my brothers dog barking wouldn't have woken me up

I've only had a few episodes of sleep paralysis and I don't exactly care to have to experience it again

thank goodness they only happen a few time, and that was the worst one I had so I've been petty ok with them, but having two of them in the same day also sounds pretty scary

I'm like that too, if it happens once and I go back to sleep, it always happens again, sometimes before I actually fall asleep to instead of after.

I once had it happen 7 times in one night. 0-0

Usually after the first one the following ones are less intense, I realize what's going on after the second one and I'm just like "crap. Tonight is going to suck."

I had sleep paralysis earlier and I know I put it on myself because I like to stay up late and draw when i cant during the day >:'D

Once a week omf bby that must be horrible ;-; I think I've only had like 4 accounts of sleep paralysis (2 earlier today side by side) and it was so scary

I suggest, if you're able, set a more stable bed time? at least im sure that's why i got mine

Ah, I see

Do you go to bed at the same time every night?

I've also heard turning off all electronics (computer, phone, TV, everything) an hour before bed time since the lights in the screens can cause insomnia

Also only laying in your bed when you're going to sleep to train your brain that that's sleepy sleep area not just relaxation area to help you drift off

Idk all these may be for the "having trouble going to sleep" insomnia rather than the "having trouble staying asleep" insomnia

heheh you can tell im studying to be a doctor i always jump straight into health concerns with whatever advice i know

Interesting! I lucid dream a lot as well and it actually helps me determine dream from reality.. Although my dreams are so vivid and I have so much control, now irl whenever I feel nervous and want to get away, my first instinct is to literally fly away like I do in dreams and then I'm like "wait-"

Yeah, one time I woke up and saw a shadow man standing in my bathtub and went through the wall. I was finally able to move about 10 minutes later and I legit thought it was a ghost but it was just sleep paralysis.

Also my friends brother has way more frequent episodes. One time he seen a garden gnome holding a knife right beside his bed.

I took a nap earlier (it was in a journal so yeah) and got sleep paralysis and all i heard was voices and 'sensed' people walking up behind me it was worse than a lot of nightmares i'm usually good at lucid dreaming so i can at least fight back in nightmares but this was just

OH YEAH, I know what you mean. I'm really good at "winning" during nightmares or end up having what I want at the end of a dream but even if it only happened once sleep paralysis is terrifying!

I'm not sure how i managed, but unless if im too stressed or sleep deprived to have a vivid dream, my dreams are almost always lucid

I can modify the dream, change the scenery, fly, spawn characters i want to meet, cause earthquakes, make objects levitate, spawn swarms of bees, make people spontaneously combust just using my mind

Yeah I use this ability to get pretty violent at times in my dreams and i wake up feeling like a maniac ;v;'

I always have dreams with my characters and hugs feel so real and everyone is warm, like hugging a real person, and it's sooo cooollll! But sometimes I get in fights with people irl in dreams and that always ends up a little messy, ehehe. But lucid dreaming is the best dreaming!

Haha I know the feel

I've even made a little character series based off of people/monster humanoids I met in dreams and now that I've turned them into OC's to preserve them so I wouldn't forget them I've been seeing them in dreams more often

Characters in my dreams have very complex personalities and act independently, though their faces are always blurred out, or I can never remember how they look at least without viewing blurry images with the faces the most blurred in the images. Instead I remember how they look by either clothing style, haircolor, etc and try to recreate their design to the best of my ability while adding in my own special touch to make them look cooler~

Although most of the friends I've met in dreams tried to kill me at first and I had to defend myself before they decided I was friend material

My dreams are very confusing--

Some people who try to kill other people in dreams actually are protecting me sometimes. I'm sure that means something but ya know!
I can NEVER get someone's face! I can remember their clothes though and everything else. But one time I got all of my characters faces at once in a dream and that was sooo cool!
I'm really big on dream interpretations too and look up dream dictionaries to see what they mean! But yeah! That's how I got one of my characters too, by dreaming of them!

Yeah I love dreams and stuff too since mine can go into such details ;v;

I've heard that your brain can only use faces it's seen in the past even if it was just once in a lifetime and perhaps that's why it blurs out faces because the brain wants to generate a brand new person?? idk they're confusing

I've also heard that mirrors don't work in dreams, but that's a big lie with some of the nightmares I've had ;v;'

You're still half asleep so you really can't figure out what's going on all you know is that you can't move and sometime people will see shadows and hear voices since of course they are still dreaming in a way and you have no way to defend yourself
