The shading looks a lot better on the newer version, though the outlines look shakier.

I can't tell much of a difference either aside from the "flatness" aspect you mentioned, which I'm personally not a fan of at all, the idea that the "retro" look of pixel art means sacrificing technique is a flawed one.

(I can write a bit more re: critique tomorrow, i am super tired atm)

I am so sorry Raptor but I really can't see a difference in drawing style, only in design or proportion. Its really hard to decide! QwQ

The new style has different shading techniques and outlining style, but the old is supposed to look more flat and well...like a classic pixel!

I didn't use any blur tools on the older pixels unless it was like jelly or water or something, so the shading had a more sharper appearance

Ah okay yeah I can see that. The blur makes anything better though.

-> (old)

I think looks more smooth and... Uhh... May I say "somehow chubby"? Chubby OC pixels are the cutest thing I know. :la:

But "(new)" is good aswell because it's more sharpened, bright colors and stuff like that.

All in all I would take "(both)" when available.

I see what you mean

my style has been changing like crazy over the past few months, but I've always felt more comfortable with a half/full chibi style

I like the shading and techniques used for new pixels, for they are much easier and quicker to do, but as for old pixels, they just look more classic

But the main thing is, that I really love both styles.
I don't know words to describe it, how I love the "cuties" how you sometimes call them. :/
