I'm back in canada after seeing the world.
SF to Georgia to Seattle to home.
There's a recording of a panel I was on at SCAD's comic book schoool
along with an impressive aray of dudes.

you can hear it here:

and I wrote more about the whole trip along with some sleazy 80's manga and triceriton comic panels. here:…

Also Samax, who does some rad drawings and puts up the best combination
of hip hop and comics in one spot on this internet (
is doing commisions this month so his mortgage doesn't eat him.

and also check this out if you don't already.

Sweet, something to listen to while I draw comics. Never get enough of that.

Can't say I agree that Shirow's high-water mark was Black Magic, I liked his later Appleseed work a lot more. There's something about his early work that strikes me as derivative, which isn't unusual.

But Cyber 7!? Once again, you pop up with a comic that I thought nobody other than myself ever saw. Somebody needs to get the license for that book back, and reprint it in full trades. Never did get to read the ending, Eclipse dropped it after the second volume, just when it was getting interesting.

Yeah, having something to listen to to draw is like air and water.

I just meant that shirow in the 80's was a high water mark--defintly not Black magic. I'm all about the appleseed and Orion era.

I wondered if they'd ever finished off cyber 7. That and Version were the translated manga I wish I'd payed more attention to for longer than I did.

I assume it was finished in Japan, but it's not easy to find information on it. Running a Google search is a good way to see how much junk can come back on obscure topics. Yes, Internets, give to me your torrents and crappy spam!

Eclipse lists the creator as Shuho Itahashi, but unfortunately I can't dig up much on him, either. It would probably help if I could read Japanese, since then I could run searches through Japanese sites, but otherwise it would seem I am S.O.L.
