Hello,

The first issue of my King city is the Previews catalog this month
for it's realease in August. So now is the hour to hit up comic stores
and order the thing.
Please and thank you.

KING CITY #1
$2.99

Here's a new interview I did with Newsarama about it.
newsarama.com/comics/050927-Ki…

I pulled 2 48 hour days in a row this week. I've gotten to this weird
point where I enjoy the dreaded deadlines(dreadlines?) because it means that I HAVE to draw. for me, comics has always been a machine that is hard to get started but
more fun than anything once it's up and running. put put put.

With the last issue off I'm catching up on all the commisions and
art jobs I owe people. --one cool thing I'm drawing this week is a
thing with Kayne West's G.O.O.D. Music label and Frogchildren where I'm
getting to illustrate a song. I'm drawing it an unnecasarily bigger than usual for me "17 by 17 and I imagine it'll get printed cd size or on a postage stamp or on the eye of a needle.

Corey Lewis, Beckky Cloooonan, Baranaby ward, Kevin Hanna and Mr D-pi are among the other dudes on it. It's a fine line up and I'm interested to see what everyone does.

More importantly, I think today I need to secure some kind of ice cream.
  • Listening to: Rhymefest
  • Reading: Generation Zero
  • Watching: Bukowski videos
  • Eating: Future ice cream
  • Drinking: coffeee

good to see king city is up and rolling again.
I was acculey thinking ages ago how cool it would be to see a mass antholgy book about different cat masters done by different artist's, and seems like your pretty much doing it.....just not as big as an antholgy book.

Holy shit, is KC v.1 officially out of print? I shoulda bought two. Gonna have to put mine in glass or some shit, it's not just a first printing, it's got a doodle and everything.

:D

I'm hoping Image will get you the exposure that TP didn't. I need more Graham comics so's I can puree and mainline 'em.

Dang! That's quite a rave review you got via Newsarama! If I didn't know how good you stuff is, I'd think you bribed the writer. ^_^

i think its important that i be the cat master for Salisbury, UK.
do you think thats doable, like the green lanterns?

ive got a cat too, its siamese and lathargic and runs into windows but i know it could become a great blender/forklift.

i hope ive got what it takes

It might be important.
If I have enough room to show any UK catmasters
I will try to fit you in.

The interviewer is like "think Doctor Gadget meets Garfield". Doctor Gadget? Dr. Who, Dr. Claw, Doctor fuckin' Doo-little. Gadget is an Inspector.

Also I dunno if this is a typo or not: "I was young and naive to the hash realities of this comic book life"

I think dr Gadget has got to be some crazy underground dude.
Either that or the inspector just got more schooling since we'd seen him.
I like your photos by the way.

When i grow up I want a doctorate in inspectology.

Thanks! I'm becoming a huge fan of your artwork, and your blog. Always get amazing tips of what to read next from you. I haven't had an opportunity to read King City or Multiple Warheads, but they both look amazing and I'm really looking forward to touching them with my filthy hands

Thanks. The artwork and the blog are just tricks to get you to read the comics.

And good luck on your doctorate.

For you, my friend, I will pre-order each and every issue. Even the "King City 1" issues, which I sorta/kinda already have. But that's beside the point, isn't it?

I hope to god you are drawing for the KRS-ONE feature track. You can draw KRS saying LOVE'S GONNA GIT'CHA while Kanye reads King City on a kindle.

I recommend a Drumstick or a Cornetto. I just had two in a row the other night and felt like it was just what I was missing. The cone part and the chocolate on the bottom really makes life great.

Can't wait to see your comics in the store. I'll suggest to my comic store guy that he orders extra.
