The Internet, Colors, and Friendship
The decade of 2000-2010 will always be very nostalgic for me. For those of you too young to understand, in that particular decade (and even in the one before), the internet was truly open and free. Everything was shared worldwide and, in the case of art websites like this one, online users were treated to a magnificent sight of artwork from all the corners of the globe. Colors...colors and styles like most of you have never seen! I called it a creative explosion...one that I will always be grateful to have been a part of.
Those of us living in the states are privileged to have a wide variety of artists and artwork thanks to the many cultures that already exist here. But, when several of our fellow countries shut all other networks out (and vice versa), it left gaping empty holes in artistic communities everywhere. I understand that precautions and protecting your own is important, so I'm not going to sit here and say that it was the wrong thing to do; there is no black and white,
