Mid-'90s Icons Have The Same Concept

Besides being shown in a second-person perspective, we all know that Blue's Clues (1996, 2019) and Super Mario 64 (1996) both involve the major characters jumping into pictures since it's the one example of what they both have in common whether it's collecting Power Stars or finding three clues. I never knew this when I was a kid, but these two pieces of mid-'90s media do share the concept about jumping into pictures made me blow my mind. Happy twenty-first birthday, Grantrules, and leaving a star will be nice enough!
