Yeah... It's a lizard in a dress! XD I wanted to start with digital painting again and try to paint more complex and more realistisc pictures. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work too. XD

It hasn't been that easy in the past too, to got "famous so quickly" especially with new approaches - just think of the Impressionists who weren't that famous when they were alive. Their technique and attitude towards art was something that never has been there before, but the most people didn't wanted that and rather liked the academic works of Bouguereau or Ingres.
It's the same with modern art - many people are famous in the "art scene" with crazy ideas but not famous in general. People rather like pictures of Thomas Kinkade althought his paintings aren't really revolutionary.

So true. It really is amazing to me (and inspirational) that past artists who pursued a new idea and concept that was not widely accepted (or at all) during their time kept at it and didn't give up on their approach or artistic message. It's a shame that their work was not appreciated during their life time. With the depth that goes in to these great works though-- it takes time for the rest of the culture to catch up as a whole.
True! I feel like it would be different if people were exposed to more art, educated on the principles being displayed, and their own original creativity was encouraged in general. Some people don't know these things until they have an art class or until they go to art school.
