Thanks for the critique! And yeah I was definitely trying to show him feeling beaten down by the Ring's hold and from his journey, so I'm glad that it came across that way 
Thanks and yeah I originally designed the shoes to be more like combat boots but then it kind of killed the line flow of the jeans + it was a lot of extra lines to animate so I simplified it. I do want to mess around with them more until i get something not boring, though.

To be fare, I did draw this at camp, where I had a series of 2 minute breaks to work on this particular peice, so parden the fact that It's only a head and shoulders, and the shading/coloring sucks eggs.
