Subliminal messages abound in The Phantom of the Opera. Some are so entwined in such carefully constructed, phallic metaphors, that it may be difficult to sift through the passionate web of angst and decipher the lyrics' true meanings. So here, for your clarity, I have provided a translation of some of the musical's most elaborate lyrics. The original lyrics will be italicized, while the translations will not. It is my desire that your next viewing of Phantom should be an enlightened one, and my sincerest hope that these translations will clear up any confusion.

My God, I trust in you,
Let me not be ashamed,
Let not my enemies triumph over me.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
nor my transgressions.
I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin my mother conceived me.
Turn yourself to me,
and have mercy on me,
For I am desolate and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart have grown,
bring me out of my distresses.
Look on my affliction and my pain
and forgive my sins.
Consider my enemies, for they are many
and they look on me with a cruel hatred
But deliver me from the guilt of their bloodshed

Well, at least it seemed so when I last checked :).
Hi there, my dears. Sorry for such a long time without updates - I have a lot of work, but I really missed you so much I simply had to write something.
On the other hand, now I really don't know what to write about. About my job? I'm still translating and working in the paintshop - but I progressed to logistics officer. About animals? I have some new photos, but I need to process them first before publishing them. I hope you'll like them.

P.S. I have a car! (little black darkling called Wolfie (WV Polo) :))
Merry Christmas to you all, my dears, and a Happy New Year :).
Yes, I still live :), and I fare a lot better in recent times. I finally have a job. Two of them, actually, one as a controller in local paint-shop (you know, that kind of factory where they paint car components and other stuff), the other one still as the freelance translator (I just found out "my" third book has been published recently, and curently I'm working on fourth).
I also have the new (she)dog, Aro (my mum's being a huge Twilight fan, and if it must be, I prefer a slightly crazy vampire over the sparkly, love-tortured one :)).
Any other news? Well, some time ago, I d
This night my little kitty decided to follow Darka over the Bifrost. Is this some kind of curse or what kind of year is this supposed to be?
Farewell, my beloved darling, and remember to stick to Darinka, I'm sure she will protect you there as she always was here.
No more barking, no more meowing, just silence and emptiness...
