lunchtime Cast

The lunchtime characters are a group of high school students. They live in a world not unlike our own, though with several races of fantasy-type characters, from angels to merfolk to plant people. They’ve grown alongside humanity for centuries.

Broderick Raol is the grandson of a crime boss. His father, the son of the crime boss, fell in love with the police chief’s daughter, and the two went into hiding to escape their respective parents. He and his family have had to lay low his whole life as a result.
Broderick and Odalis met over the summer between middle school and high school. She appreciates how strong he is, and he appreciates how sweet she is. He’s also close friends with Candy and her boyfriend, Mario Jr.
Broderick is a huge fan of pop culture. He loves watching movies, reading comics, playing video games, etc. He has a large collection of each and often spends free time entertaining himself with them, often inviting his friends to join him in the fun.

Candace a.k.a. "Candy" is the daughter of a moon woman and a galactic knight. She's always admired her parents, even though her father retired from knighthood to become a stay-at-home dad. She sees it as just as respectable and honorable. Her mother has taken on the role of the breadwinner of the family.
When Candy was 10, her parents went missing for an entire year. During that time, she lived with her godmother, constantly hoping her parents would eventually return. When her parents did return, she became very close to them, never wanting to lose them again. As a result, she's developed separation anxiety and goes into a panic whenever she's alone. When her parents are home, she tries to spend plenty of time with them and is very close to them as a result, especially her father. She has many similarities to him, as they share a favorite food and a favorite video game.
Currently, Candy is attending high school. She met her best friend, Odalis, back in middle school. The two of them have been best friends ever since. Candy also has a boyfriend named Mario Jr., whom she met back when they were 5. Additionally, Candy is also a member of the girls’ basketball team at her high school due to her height.

Odalis S. Konopka is a member of a race of half-human, half-mushroom people. They can reproduce either asexually or sexually. Odalis was conceived asexually and is being raised by a single mother.
She and Candy befriended each other back in middle school. They’ve been best friends ever since. Odalis also met Broderick between middle school and high school and the two became a couple.
Odalis is a very friendly but shy girl. She’s very close to her friends but finds it hard to make new friends. She normally very cheerful but can occasionally have moments of great sadness. She sometimes relies on others to make her happy.

Marianna Moretti is the daughter of a doctor and a yoga instructor. Due to her parents’ occupations, health has always been taken seriously in her family. As a result, she’s developed a negative body image and some form of an eating disorder. She can’t eat without feeling guilty about what she’s doing to her body. She constantly forces herself to exercise to burn off calories.

Drew is from a race of aquatic people (somewhat akin to mermaids/mermen). His people can walk on land just fine, but they prefer swimming.
Drew is a wild card. He is crazy and loves to have fun, regardless of the risk to life and limb. He loves to play paintball on the weekends. He’s also terrible at video games. (Sorry I don’t have much on Drew. I've only recently created him).
