As some of you might know, I spent the winter of 2010/2011 in a small village called Val-des-Prés in the South-East of France, working as an au pair and spending my free time snowboarding and finding new friends. Every year, when the end of November approaches, I spend a lot of time contemplating about where I used to be and how it shaped where I am now. It's been a little over two years since I moved out of home to attend university in Stuttgart, and lately I have been feeling very nostalgic about the place I call home now, and about everything I have experienced during my time here. The end of the year always seems to be a time of self-reflection for me, and after a long summer things finally fall into place. I have been very busy, but I think it's safe to say that I am happy.
