:o (Eek) He/She is cat-bait now (or vulture bait if you count the part where the smilodon leave the macrauchenia's corpse after eating their fill). Snappy Vulture

It's so so lifelike I can imagine these creatures just running around in South America.

One of the most believeable restorations of the Macrauchenia trunk :) And a great piece of art. I like it!

Your work is so awesome -- do you have a book yet?? Do you use zoo photos or 3D models?

THE BEST!!

Thank you very much=)! I use a photos, although some parts have to draw. My pictures have not yet been published in a book. So far, only just journal articles.

Some of the best paleoart I've seen. You should be working for National Geographic and all the major magazines, journals and museums.

All the best!

Impressive scene! Interesting coloration for Macrauchenia. By the way, the trunk looks more shorter than another depictions :)

Thanks for the comment=)
It was an experiment with coloration. I do not think Macrauchenia had a long trunk. Some cling to it even an elephant's trunk, hanging to the ground.

is the first time I see a reconstruction of hairless Macrauchenia

No, it is not hairless =), it is with short fur, like in antelopes or horses.
