I'm a Belgian-Flemish hobbyist-artist in  drawing/painting with traditional techniques (since about 15 years) and in photography (since my youth).

Professionally I'm working as a psychologist in a psychiatric unit of a general hospital.

I have a broad field of interest: culture, art, music, history, human (such as psychology and psychoanalysis) and natural sciences, astronomy and astrophotography, nature in general, travelling, etc. I love to explore and discover all kind of things... And I surely look for beauty and depth in all meanings.

Concerning my drawings and paintings I have a fascination in the human (often female) figure and in portraits but also in scenery/landscapes. I draw/paint from life but also from photographs, all this coloured by elements of phantasy. My work often has a mysterious, emotional and existential quality.

In the past I attended for several years a weekly evening class in drawing/painting from life nude models. I also did 5 years  of official art school in painting (evening class, twice a week).

I'm aware I still have to learn a lot... I surely hope I still can make progress. So I appreciate your encouragement and support, but also your critique or advice...
