I have no idea if anyone still reads these comments but I'm interested in getting an answer.
When you're talking about translation jokes you use a chart with "Primal reaction level", "Basic thinking level" and "Advanced Thinking Level"... Did you make these things up or did you get these concepts (while still talking about comedy/jokes/humor) from somewhere else?
Additionally, you write that certain "primal" reactions unlock certain other levels (surprise -> wacky mood -> advanced thinking level). Are these key-lock combinations arbritrary or...?
And just to make sure I understand correctly, the difference between Advanced Thinking level and Basic Thinking level seems to be that the advanced level considers the (potential) reactions of other people, right?
