Hi, everyone!
I’m pleased to present to you Part 1 of The Original Vindicators Versus Animated Feature!
Like most things I get into, they start reasonable and then I start getting delusions of grandeur, and the project swells out of control. So it was with this.
A friend suggested I check out Midjourney as a way to create while unable to access regular time and resources. I'm not a big fan of AI art, not only because it feels a bit soulless, but it all starts to look the same after a while.
But I did like the idea that you can animate original artwork with it. So I experimented with some of my drawings and comic panels, and I was blown away. The more I did the more I realized I might be able to make my own animated feature.
One of my goals has always been to see my characters animated, and while I love and respect traditional animation, chances are I’ll never get to see my guys in an animated feature, but with AI, I could do it myself.
But it was not easy.
The writing, the voice acting, the editing, the music selections, and so many other things you don't realize go into something like this. The hardest thing was scouring for art that I could cobble together a narrative that made sense.
I used everything I had, mostly my comic panels, but some commissions, and gift art, too. I’m currently out of usable material, so I’m drawing stuff as I go, but Part 2 should be ready this time next week and Part 3 the week after that.
I know it’s not perfect, but I hope you guys like it. As always, views and favs are greatly appreciated, but comments are priceless. Your feedback keeps me motivated and helps refine my work, so thank you in advance.
PS - It’s not cheap either. If you're enjoying this at all, please consider buying your boy
a Cup of Joe to help keep the midnight oil burning, thanks.
This is good. I'm interested in more which is an indicator that your work is interesting.
