The first thing that caught my attention was the massive amount of saturation, too much, I'd say. Sure, there's a clear sky behind the canopy, but I think it's still slightly too much. I'm guilty of this myself, though. On a bright day the sky is a very difficult element if you're in the shade, and it's way too often all blown-out as is the case here. I doubt there's an easy way of handling that. HDR might work if you're willing to put some extra effort to it.

The photo gives a nice, peaceful atmosphere. The shaded area really feels like a place to stop for a while and be unaware of the passing of time. In this respect the hectic white, glowing background (the sky, that is) works well.

Composition is tight enough and doesn't show more than necessary. Wide angle allows to get closer to the benches while keeping the canopy in the view. The biking people add to the idea of the photo even though they're clearly coming from the other direction. Having two people sitting on the bench would've made the shot.

From a technical point of view, I noticed there's quite a bit of chromatic aberration in the leaves that are bordered by the sky. That shouldn't be too tough a cookie. Still, it doesn't detract your concentration from other things, and you notice it when you really look into the photo.

Overall, the photo pleases the eyes, and the concept makes it more than "just another shot about the fall". Easily likable, probably by a number of people.
