Haven't done anything non-pony in a while, so have some steampunk!
This week's model depicts a vacuum-airship, based on a drawing by Francesco Lana de Terzi. Now, considering that the designer was Italian, but this model contains Germanic iconography, I shall explain.
I sort of wanted to make this model in a way that would imply its use by a contemporary military force. However, since Italy was nonexistent, I had to do some research into the history of Lombardi (de Terzi's home), in order for things to make a bit more sense. I found out that around the time that de Terzi had come up with this idea, Lombardi was under control by the Habsburgs, hence the Reichsadler and the word "Daidalos" (German for Daedalus) written on the stern.
Apologies in advance for any historical inaccuracies.
