This was an interpretation of a classic piece done for my creative design class. The original piece was the Creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel done by Michelangelo [link] . In my painting, the sun represents God, the dirt and grass represent the earth and the dark clouds circling the sun represent evil. The only literal element of the painting is the tear falling from the sun. I burnt the bottom of the painting alittle bit to stand for hell, and I took half a real apple and polyeurathaned it before I screwed it right to the piece, which was all painted on a piece of 1/4" plywood with acrylic paints.
