Kamen Rider Kuuga The Hunt for the Grongi video ga

This is something I've been thinking of doing since around last year.  It's basically my idea for a Kamen Rider Kuuga video game.

For the uninitiated, allow me to explain.  Kamen Rider Kuuga is the 14th installment in the long-running Japanese franchise, Kamen Rider.  The series is about various people who become a being known as a Kamen Rider, and the battles they fight for their sense of justice against various monsters, and other Kamen Riders who don't share such altruistic ideals.

Kamen Rider Kuuga aired on January 30th, 2000, and ran until January 21st, 2001.  In the show, an archaeological expedition has unearthed an ancient tomb.  In said tomb, they make a number of discoveries, such as a mysterious belt.  However, they also unleash a race of violent, bloodthirsty creatures known as the Grongi (Gurongi in Japan), who begin a game that involves killing large numbers of human beings.  Since the Grongi are unknown, they become known to the public as Unidentified Lifeforms, or ULFs for short.  And sadly, the police find themselves hard-pressed against these beings.

However, hope soon comes.  The protagonist of Kamen Rider Kuuga is a young man named Yusuke Godai, who vowed to master 2000 skills by the year 2000, and is now on skill number 1999.  One day, he tries defending people against a spider Grongi known as Zu-Gumun-Ba (or Xu-Gmun-Ba).  While doing so, he grabs the mysterious belt, which the Grongi identifies as "The Arcle".  Yusuke puts the Arcle on, and it absorbs into his body.  In his battle with the Grongi, Yusuke transforms into a white armoured warrior, who's white armour then changes red.  Thus begins Yusuke's adventures battling the Grongi as Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Now, the thing about Kamen Rider Kuuga is that there's already a Kamen Rider Kuuga Video Game.  It's a fighting game that came out on the Playstation 1 on December 21st, 2000.  This one I envisioned as an open-world sandbox game with 3D beat-'em-up segments.  It would have Yusuke biking around Tokyo either as himself or as Kuuga (perhaps you can transform between the two... but only if nobody's looking at you).  He can fight various Grongi he comes across attacking civilians, with the ones from the show being the main missions in the game.  Of course, while there are only 200 Grongi in the show proper, perhaps something can be come up with so we can have regular enemies to fight as Kuuga.  Perhaps Kuuga is the one who fights, while Yusuke just goes around the game world.  You can also take on side missions where people are being attacked by the lesser Grongi, and Kuuga needs to save their lives.  Perhaps Yusuke can also visit the cafe he was usually seen at (can't remember its name), which can serve as the player headquarters of the game.  Maybe Yusuke can run errands for the cafe as some side missions.

Now, the picture was always intended to have Kuuga on the front.  I thought maybe it could be a close-up of his face, with him doing his thumbs up (that was something Yusuke did).  It changed over time, though.  When I decided to have Kamen Rider Kuuga, I thought the background looked kind of bare.  So I decided to surround him with some Grongi from the show.  The ones around him are, from left to right.
