Waking up, full of realisation. ––another day.

Sitting up, blank stare, knees stretch, step, step, stop–-& you're looking in the mirror disappointed.
Tilted head, rubbed eyes, forced smile, smile gone. "Fuck" under breath, lowered Pj's, ass on rim, tinkle.
Heartfelt exhale, flush, wash, brush, spit–– & you're in your room getting ready.
Sleeve on, neck in hole, pants on, zip.
Cover up, mascara, blush, snap.
Screw open, capsules in hand, open faucet, glass filled, gulp.
Shoes on, hair untied, spritz, spritz, hair toss, bag on shoulder.
Door creaks, closes, stairs, bright daylight, squinted eyes.
Step, step, step, stop.

Waking up, full of realisation.––another day.
