Description
A close-up photograph of a red trillium (Trillium erectum), a beautiful spring ephemeral plant. Flash was used because of how dark it was outside at the time. Feedback's appreciated!
Feedback is welcome, you say? Well, here we go
A beautiful flower, and you've done a good job on choosing the composition - the slight angle and tilt of the flower make this a much more interesting photo than just an image taken straight from the front. Night photography of flowers is also unusual, so bonus points for that!
That said, while having a dark background is interesting, I would have liked the flower itself to be a bit lighter/brighter. Yes, it's night photography, but as a general rule brighter colors and contrast make photos and artworks more eye-catching and interesting to look at, and so adding this would make this a more eye-catching image too. In addition, while I'm not familiar with this specific flower, I do presume the colors in the image are a bit darker than they'd look during proper daylight, meaning that you can safely edit the colors a bit and still have a natural-looking result - which might even show off the flower better than what you have now. Making those changes should be pretty simple, and you should be able to make the adjustments with pretty much any photo editor.
But that's about it, and we're talking small changes here. The overall composition is nice, and it really is one beautiful flower, and one which I can't remember having seen before - so bonus points for originality there as well!
