Peni Parker Bust - Watercolor Art

Over the summer I opened up my Sakura Koi Watercolor set, to practice traditionally coloring again. It takes practice and some good advice, but after a while you get the hang of using the tools to paint new things. Shown here is Peni Parker from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. First I drew in the lineart with pencil, and then I filled in the regions, gradually, with swatches of watercolor until it is dark enough as you see here. I'll note that I did some computer post-processing before sharing the art here, but mostly to compensate for the fact that I am a beginner traditional painter. It's a great medium that's really worth trying!
