Thanks Shadsie for your input on Mechanical Skull!!!
To answer your questions the rivets are actually small nails, to my surprise a cow skull is hard as rock so I just hammered those suckers right in.
This way everything is securely placed and permanent.
The raised elements are pressed metal cut to fit and hammered tight to the surface.
There is some leather that is placed on some of the surface as well.
Any portion that was exposed bone was painted with a metal paint and an acid was applied to cause rust oxidation to change the paint.
Thank you very much for your comments!!!

Thank you! I've been busy making a lot of new work and trying to keep up with everything. I haven't posted here in some time and I still have a lot of work to catch up on and share. I hope you get a chance to see the movie as I'm sure you'll love the sets!
Universal Apprentice
I can't thank Dianne Hoffman enough for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this exquisite event! Dianne was the first assemblage artist that I found on DA that spoke to me. Ever since then MY DREAM has been to hang in the same space as my favorite artist Dianne Hoffman! Not only has this dream become reality, but by the hands of that incredible artist herself. Make no mistake folks, dreams do come to if your brave enough to have them!
Thank you Dianne for showing me that the universe does listen. Thank you for being who you are!!!!!
