Jawas - Old School Vinyl

The Jawas from Star Wars were great at scavenging so I've imagined here in this parody image, how they might appear if one of them found a 'vinyl' cape.  This plays on the fact that the original Jawa Star Wars figure was packed with a vinyl cape.  Nowadays it is one of the most expensive collectibles around.  Ironic, that an otherwise worthless material, so indicative of the 1970s, can make all the difference in terms of the value now of this character!

...and one of mine too - strange for what is a fairly innocuous (hope i spelled that right) character!

Great pun!  I think I have an old Obi-Wan in vinyl.  Hard to go wrong with the classics.

...i agree totally... and i too have an old obi-wan and now have the vinyl cape to go with it after finally tracking one down! the difference with the obi-wan figure is that it always kept the vinyl cape whereas they ditched it for the jawas early on...which makes those ones so valuable!

Fun fact!  I'm not much of a collector, but I do enjoy hearing such tidbits.

I was going to shout Utini, but seems that others thought the same anyway.
Now I wonder if these guys are going to scuffle over it.

haha - yes i guess they might scuffle over it.  Maybe the one on the right is saying: "you have a vinyl cape... i have a gun... now hand it over!"

Funny. Yeah, that vinyl cape packaged in with the Jawa is now very expensive. Great illustration!

Yep - and because it's expensive there are even now people trying to pass of fake capes. What a crazy world we live in! :P

That's true, I heard it's even tough to tell if it's authentic or not, because they make the figure cards so professional looking.
