Your wife wasn’t inside, so you went out back to look for her.
“Oh my god! Honey! Look how big I am!”
“Gah!” you said, reflexively raising your arms to protect yourself as this 10-foot amazon just appeared looming over you.
She guffawed at you as you cowered from her.
“What in the holy- Karen!?”
“I know, right? I though the treatment would only make me a few inches taller! I though it would take months! But now…”
She giggled, and shimmied over you.
“…I’m like, the biggest woman alive now! I grew this big in a day! Oh, baby, you have no idea how happy this makes me!”
She grabbed you by the shoulders, lifted you up to eye level, and kissed you.

The moment I saw #SizeRewind challenge by GoddessTina I knew I would re-write Super Size Me. Initially posted in 2010, it was the second story I ever shared with the community and the first of what turned out to be many more short stories. I re-visited the original version only a few times during the revision process (typically when I got stuck), and intentionally tried to approach the same premise in a way that reflects my current writing style. The results were...fascinating. Maybe I'll do it again in another ten years...
