Leonov 6: Aerobrake Fireball

Image six of Drell-7 (drell-7.deviantart.com/) and my series based on the book description of Arthur C. Clarke’s Leonov shows the craft enveloped in a fireball as it executes its aerobrake maneuver through Jupiter’s atmosphere. All the craft’s equipment is retracted in so that it falls within the shadow of the disposable aeroshell on the ship’s nose. Three of Jupiter’s moon’s shine in the dark sky above… with a little bit of artistic license with regards to their size and placement
