Plexcellent VS for Windows 8.1u1 (WIP 13)

Not a huge change from the last preview, mostly just mildly more accurate navigation buttons and, more importantly, me being excited about the new icons I've been working on (though only one is actually present in this preview screeny).

Funny story behind the icons...after hunting for icons for a while, I couldn't find a decent set of icons that fit what I wanted and were available for use in larger projects, I decided to make a set myself, in probably the most impractical possible method: Rendered images of full 3D models handmade in Blender. Am I out of my mind or what? .__.

I see someone enjoys Spore and Longhorn both... I actually had no idea other longhorn fans out there would like a game I also enjoy. Amazing theme though, it perfectly captures longhorn.

Huh, I thought I would've been the only one as well. Small world, eh?

And thanks...unfortunately, I've largely run out of steam on these visual styles in recent years. I should probably just...dump what I have for people to mess with sometime.

ooooh yes please, i've always liked the plex visual style and the one shown in the preview looks almost complete.

Thanks :>

...I really need to get around to finishing this sometime .-.
Once you've completed this great theme, would you be able to take a request?

Thank you. As for the topic of a request, I don't think I can say for sure if I'd take a request without knowing what it is. If you'd rather not mention it in public, I'd be happy to keep an eye out for a note. I apologize for my inability to provide a proper answer, but I don't want to make a promise I can't keep ._.
Back in the day there was this amazing VS for Windows XP called "Watercolor", which was based on the look of Windows codename Whistler, an alpha Windows version.
Here's what it looked like: pcdesktops.emuunlim.com/pictur…
I've dreamed for years to have this visual style in a modern system. It would be great if you could do it.

Oh, Watercolor? I know that one...the eerily Windows 8-esque placeholder they used before Luna was ready. I actually tried to port it back in late 2014. Didn't go very well, though that was likely more due to my lack of skills and decent tools at the time. I'm not going to make any promises, but I will say that I'd been debating whether or not to take a second shot at tackling Watercolor for a while now.

So tl,dr: maybe.

...look, I'm sorry I can't seem to give you a definitive answer...I just used to be really bad about taking requests and then struggling to follow through on them, often failing to do so in the end...and I don't want to repeat that mistake again. I hope you can understand.

In any case, though, I am flattered that, of all the Visual Style artists out there, you chose to ask me. Really means a lot to me... :7
I'm actually very glad you knew about it, because yeah, this is from the time of Windows Millennium Edition (2000). And it's great: light interface, good easy-on-the-eyes-colors, the details on the titlebar. Everything was beautiful.
I hope that you can get it done, just take your time.

My god how did I not make the connection

This thing is as old as I am .-.

...anywaves, yeah, we'll see...
Hi! Have you had any time to get into Watercolor? :)

I haven't really gotten anywhere with it, sorry.
