On the morning of January 10th, there was an activity for children at my workplace (I currently work at a special needs children's center, serving preschool children with SEN). The last activity was for the children to play with red, yellow, and blue colored clay. We originally asked them to use it to make small dots, but the SEN children's creativity was off the charts (which was entirely expected), resulting in a huge pile of mixed-color clay.
My colleague didn't plan to save it for later, but since the clay was still moist and could be used again, I figured I might as well keep it all for myself (the result was three large boxes; thankfully, it was light clay, so it wasn't heavy).
So I'll probably continue using this clay to create a bunch of works. However, because the moisture content has decreased slightly compared to brand new clay, the joints will not adhere properly after drying, so I can only try to create a piece that is formed as one piece as possible.
