Hi all - This is Carri, I own the international alternative / gothic clothing company 'The Dark Angel' [link] We are currently running a 'Digital Art' competition featuring one of our designs.
The design is a mans coat that was inspired by the coat Jareth wears in the ballroom scene in the movie Labyrinth. The coat has been professionally photographed, on a model, in our studios on a plain white background. It is a very high quality, high resolution image. The image has a period feel and the model is holding a Venetian mask.
The aim of the competition is for you to take the image and manipulate it into a setting of your choice. The theme is 'MASQUERADE'
The competition is only open to intermediate and advanced Photoshop, we are looking for a piece of very high quality artwork.
The winning image will be used on our international website along side the studio images for the design. The product page on the website will carry the artists name along with a direct link to the artists webpage. This will run for as long as we are running the design. The winning artist will also receive a $100.00 (US) voucher to spend in The Dark Angel Store. 2 runners up will receive 20% discount vouchers.
All competition entries will be featured on the 'Newspage' of 'The Dark Angel' website and 'The Dark Angel' FB page.
The competition will be judged by 'The Dark Angel' design team.
Comp Rules:
1) All submissions must be of a very high quality & size (original image is approx 2000px x 4000px )
2) The garments featured in the supplied image must remain as the original, whatever you create around them is up to you
3) Winning image may be used by the company for promotion & advertising purposes, the artist will be credited on all image use. The artist will also be able to use the image for their own promotion however "The Dark Angel' must be credited for copyright of the designs & image featured.
4) Non winning entrants are welcome to use the image supplied and final piece for their own use, however 'The Dark Angel' must be credited for the design and original image supplied.
5) Entries to be in by 30th November 2009
