deviantART deviantART deviantART  Stupid proof disclaimer: THIS IS NOT A GAME RIP deviantART deviantART deviantART

I started modeling this sniper rifle only with the idea to take inspiration from Mass Effect's sniper rifles (actually my favorive models are the Widow/Black Widow and the Viper) but using a reference image during the modeling I finished making almost a complete copy of the M98 Widow/Black widow rifles. Anyway there are some differences wich makes this model "non canon". The rifle stock is longer than the original, I've created a lot of glowing "leds" where the original only had screws (or similar stuffs), and both the handle, the trigger guard and the trigger itself are a bit different. However any ME's fan shouldn't have difficulties in guessing what rifle is this :D

Actually I've made it for my fictional army in the sci-fi setting Nebulosa of Ots.
KWD is for "Korryn Weaponcraft Division", articulation of the Korryn Settlement Multipurpose Industries consortium
HSR is obviously for Heavy Sniper Rifle. Not exactly an anti-material rifle (it's a portable one) but it's granted to open nice holes even on armored targets :)
In a future revision I'll probably add a bullet mag, at least for my purposes in the mentioned setting, where I suppose that bullets are only bullets and the system used in Mass Effect is unknown.
By my intentions this rifle is used by snipers and designated marks(wo)men, both in the Rangers corp and in the Security Services fo the KSM (Korryn Shiks Matriarchy).

Features
Only the PMX and the FBX versions are rigged, while the OBJ and the X (directX) versions are static. The rigging includes a main bone (set on the handle), trigger, the optical sight and its two gears, and the barrel.
The PMX version for MMD also has some sliders to quickly control the barrel lenght, the trigger, to move forward/backward the optical sight and to control both the autoluminous emission and the model's color (there's a slider which turns the rifle to its "black widow" looking version).

IMPORTANT 1: if you use the FBX or the OBJ version you could need to adjust the materials settings, depending on what 3d program you're using and on its needs about lights, reflections and so on.

IMPORTANT 2: if you need to resize it for use in MMD, use the X version (static) or resize it in PMX editor using the Import ratio value. This way you'll preserve and scale the bone-based sliders, otherwise if you just scale it using the resize tools or the resizing in the posing (T) window, you'll loose the correct proportions of the bone-based sliders.

Korryn Shiks Matriarchy [DRAFT]

Previous draft, corrected by the Maester Shabazik -> read here: http://fav.me/dd6dm8f
The KSM is meant as a minor nation in the Nebulosa of Ots science fiction setting by Shabazik. It's located in the star system #139. After a few useful discussions we've agreed to set this nation over 2 planets out of a 17 habitable planets system.
The planets have been named Korryn I and Korryn II, meant a a little tribute to House Corrin, the ruling imperial House at the beginnings of the Dune saga by Frank Herbert.

THE HISTORY: ORIGINS OF THE KSM (Revised)
The foundation of the Korryn Shiks Matriarchy is a legacy of the so called Rebellion of Clones wars (3428-3434 a.a.H.).
During the final phases of the uprising, a faction of the rebel clones accepted to sign a non belligerance deal with Kasparov CIA, who quickly and gladly accepted due the

Hey do you have anyone Mass effect/Inspired models for MMD? Because I'm thinking of making a Sci fi animation inspired by Mass Effect and I'm looking for something that kinda looks like the Reapers. Just asking. "I should go"
