Tazia Hall
Artist | Professional | Varied
United States
Visual Artist and writer with passionate emphasis on graphic novels. Originally from the Caribbean but given the mixed nature of my heritage, I love aspects of all cultures (especially the food, clothes, music and drama!)

I have illustrated published works like Here Comes Heaven , 31 Healing Miracles of Jesus for the Sid Roth's It's Supernatural show, and the Silver Foxes YA fiction series by Michelay.

You may notice I post lots of anthropomorphic art (animals with human qualities and proportions). I doesn't mean I'm terrible at drawing other things (thanks Fine Art degree). I just grew up on 90s cartoons and video games. These influences shaped the flow and style I now carry. My Creator and life experiences do the rest. Animals also have a rich heritage in history, theology, folklore and mythology. ...and, it's just cool when a character can fly, breath fire or break down walls and it's perfectly normal in their world. :giggle:

Feel free to kick back, relax and enjoy a digital cup of tea! :tea: :gallery:

DONATIONS

My Paypal.me functions as a tip jar of sorts if you like what I do.
Interests
Why is this so fascinating to me? I guess because I studied Chinese death ritual in college. The Chinese fought death tooth an nail, even making suits of jade armor and armies of clay soldiers for royalty with the hope it would preserve the body for immortality. They would also grind up jade and other materials as ingredients for elixirs and send human sacrifices with the deceased to serve them in the next world.

I don't know as much about European history as I'd like so this was a treat. Some don't know how diverse and tribal the European peoples are. We always associate tribes with Africa or Native Americans.

How people treat death says a lot about what they believe about life and the afterlife. In the USA, we spend BILLIONS on the medical industry fighting death every year!

Even though we're mortal, us humans sure do have a strong instinct towards the eternal.

The Bible treats death as bad, even alien to planet Earth because YHWH God is a God of life. Death is described as a force resulting from pride and rebellion ie. "The wages (payment) of sin is death" (Romans 6:23) and Genesis records that it was introduced into the world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the fruit of Knowledge of good/evil. The book of Revelation 20:14 reads that Death and Hell will eventually be destroyed in Gehenna (Lake of Fire) after Judgement Day.

Have you ever considered getting a Ko-Fi? That way people can drop you donations?

Yeah paypal on its own works good enough as a tip jar.  Ko-Fi just gives you a cute button. Its free and every donation is $3.00 by default. Thats why I use it.

Yup, I have considered. It's just the time it would take to maintain a whole other art account, I'd likely spread myself thin. If my work was catchy enough to attract donations, my Patreon would have been buzzing. Even so, I may still poke Ko-Fi and see if it's useful to me.

Ugh, gotta finish my copyright package. That's why I haven't uploaded much original work yet.

PS. Michelay is the brains behind Silver Foxes. Do let her know what you think of her peopes too!

I'm so eager to share more original works once I get some documentation sorted
